Healing After Loss/Grief Support: Is a 5-week group workshop that allows the participants a positive, sensitive approach for successful recovery from a painful loss. A major loss makes a dramatic impact on your life and the primary goal of HAL is to aid you in dealing with your personal loss. The workshop will provide you with the necessary tools in dealing with your grief.  Healing After Loss is offered twice a year (spring and fall) and led by our dear parishioner, Sue Holscher. Clases de Inglés en su parroquia Nuestro programa de ESL está dirigido a personas que saben poquito o casi nada de inglés. Nuestro objetivo es que los estudiantes adquieran confianza para comunicarse en inglés y logren integrarse mejor a la comunidad de los Estados Unidos. El programa está dividido en 3 cursos básicos y cada uno de ellos es cubierto en un módulo de 10 semanas. Ofrecemos clases los martes por las mañanas y los viernes por la tarde de octubre a mayo. Homeless Support Ministry:  Our parish has several ministry opportunities to help the homeless in our area. We are united in service with several local civic groups. CAYA (Come As You Are) is a Homeless Aid Ministry our parish supplies weekly sack lunches, clothing drives and so much more. TURN (Total Urban Renewal Network) is an ecumenical organization that organizes aid efforts in our local community. St. Thomas also works closely with Riverside Meals on Wheels, Inc, Hulen Homeless Shelter, Family Shelter and Emergency Homeless Shelter (3) within Riverside. Human Dignity Ministry: This ministry (also known as Right to LIfe) focuses on the human dignity bestowed to each of us from 'womb to tomb'. For more information contact Dana Robles at 951-689-1131 X241 or drobles@sbdiocese.org

Life Challenges Group (Support Group): Designed to assist family members and significant others to explore and resolve their feelings, help reduce anger, and to take better care of themselves. Riverside Meals on Wheels (Feeding Home-bound): This organization organizes and distributes healthy meals to the home-bound, usually elderly, in Riverside. Volunteers are needed to deliver fresh meals to recipients weekly; Monday through Friday. For more information on this ministry please call Vicki Cleveland at: (951) 683-7151.

Parish Food Drive (3x's per year):  St. Thomas organizes parish wide food drives, these donated food items are distributed to the three local Catholic food pantries located in Riverside: St. Vincent de Paul at St. Catherines, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and St. Thomas. Peace of Mind Seminar (Pre-planning and Education re: the natural passages of life)  This is an annual seminar where guest speakers, resources and presentations illuminate the varied areas of pre-planning and preparations needed for Funerals and Estate Planning. Power House of Prayer:  PowerHouse of Prayer’s mission is to actively encourage and promote prayer within the life of the church and its community. By being open and responsive to the working of the Holy Spirit, we pray that God's love, guidance and healing power would be released for the benefit of His people and to His glory.  PowerHouse of Prayer offers everyone a chance to seek prayer no matter the need. Prayers for yourself, family, friends, and acquaintances - PowerHouse is ready to lift up anyone’s needs in prayer. Prayers of joy and praise for upcoming events, birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations, prayers of help for personal sufferings, sorrows, or other difficulties in life. Prison Ministry: Provides inmates (youth and adult) with religious education and administers communication at the Chino CIM and Norco CRC prisons. For more information on this ministry please contact Dave Robles at: (951) 785-8326.

St. Vincent de Paul Society: We work collaboratively with St. Vincent, hosted at St. Catherine's parish in Riverside. This global service group provides food, clothing and other personal items, as well as helping local families of need with medical, rent and utility payments. Stephen Ministry: Brings God's love and caring to individuals that are suffering, hurting and lonely. Listens and prays with them, guides them to a solution that will be life giving.
